Only Hospitime instruments are accepted

The instrument must be identifiable as a genuine Hospitime product. Submitting a repair request does not guarantee that the instrument can be repaired.

Out-of-warranty repairs are chargeable

Repair costs are calculated after assessment, based on the actual work, labour time, applicable processing, consumables, refinishing and courier charges.

Approval is required before repair

Hospitime will assess the instrument and provide a repair-cost estimate where repair is feasible. Work begins only after you approve the quotation.

How Repair Costs Are Calculated

The estimate depends on the instrument, its condition and the repair work required, and may include the following. The items below are for example and reference only; they are not a price list or a quotation.

  1. Labour / workmanship hours

Time required by our technicians to inspect, dismantle, repair, adjust and reassemble the instrument.

  2. Scissor tempering removal

For applicable scissor repairs, removal of existing tempering may be required before the repair work.

  3. Consumables

Applicable repair materials and consumables used during the process, such as abrasives or other required materials.

  4. Re-tempering

Re-tempering the instrument where required after the relevant repair work.

  5. Refinishing

Applicable finishing, polishing or surface-restoration work needed after the repair.

  6. Courier charges

Applicable outbound and return courier costs.

Important: not every repair requires every operation listed above. The final estimate is based on the actual work and the charges applicable to the instrument.

A formal quotation is provided where repair is feasible. Repair work does not begin until you approve the quotation.

Our Repair Process

A simple process from request to return.

  1. Submit repair request

Fill in the form with the instrument details and, if you wish, photographs.

Our After Sales Team checks the information and may contact you for more details.

  3. Assessment and estimate

We assess the instrument and, where repair is feasible, send you a quotation.

  4. Customer approval

Repair work begins only after you approve the quotation.

  5. Repair and return

Once approved, the instrument is repaired and returned by courier.

Please wait for instructions before shipping any instrument. The team will tell you about shipment, packaging, decontamination and the receiving address.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you repair instruments from other brands or manufacturers?

No. Hospitime Repair Services accepts only instruments manufactured or supplied under the Hospitime brand. We do not repair products from other brands or manufacturers.

Are out-of-warranty repairs free?

No. Out-of-warranty repairs are chargeable. The instrument must first be assessed, and a repair-cost estimate will be provided where repair is feasible. Work begins only after the customer approves the quotation.

How is the repair cost calculated?

The cost is based on technician labour and workmanship hours, applicable consumables, and the processing required. For applicable scissor repairs, this may include removing existing tempering, re-tempering and refinishing. Courier charges are also included where applicable. Not every repair requires every operation.

Will you start repairing my instrument immediately?

No. Submission is only a request for assessment. The team must review the details and, where possible, provide a quotation. Repair work starts only after you approve the quoted cost.

Can every damaged Hospitime instrument be repaired?

No. Repair feasibility depends on the instrument, the nature and extent of the damage, the availability of any required parts and technical assessment. The team will advise you after reviewing the instrument.

What information should I provide in a repair request?

Provide the product name or code if known, quantity, a clear description of the fault, how the instrument was used, purchase details and clear instrument photographs if available. This helps with preliminary assessment but does not replace physical inspection where required.

Can I ship the instrument before receiving instructions?

Please submit the repair request first and wait for instructions from Hospitime. The team will advise you about shipment, packaging, decontamination and the appropriate receiving address before you send the instrument.

Does a repair request mean my warranty claim is accepted?

No. A repair request and a warranty claim are different. Warranty eligibility is assessed separately under the applicable limited warranty policy. The final decision rests solely with the Hospitime After Sales Team.

What happens if my instrument is not covered under warranty?

Hospitime may offer repair or servicing at an additional cost, subject to technical assessment, feasibility and your approval of the quotation. If repair is not feasible, the team will advise you of the available next steps.

How can I check my repair-request status?

After submission, you should receive a reference number. Use it when contacting [email protected] to ask about the status. Any automated acknowledgement confirms receipt only and is not a repair or warranty approval.

Submit a Repair Request

Provide the details below so our After Sales Team can review your instrument and advise on the next steps. Submission does not guarantee repair or warranty coverage.

Your details

The instrument

This instrument is outside our repair service. Hospitime Repair Services accepts only instruments manufactured or supplied under the Hospitime brand, so a request for another brand cannot be accepted. Please contact the original manufacturer of the instrument.

Type of request

Out-of-warranty repairs are chargeable. A quotation will be provided after assessment where repair is feasible. Work begins only after you approve it.

Warranty is assessed separately. The Limited 1-Year Warranty covers only eligible manufacturing defects on instruments bought directly from Hospitime by hospitals, clinics and institutions. An original purchase invoice is required for verification; a photocopy, scan, screenshot or photograph of a paper invoice is not accepted. The final decision rests solely with the Hospitime After Sales Team.

The original invoice is required for warranty assessment. You may still submit this request. The After Sales Team will advise on the next steps, and chargeable repair may be possible. Please do not upload an invoice photo, scan or photocopy as a substitute.

Electronically issued invoices are verified for authenticity before they are accepted. The After Sales Team may ask you for the original electronic file. A photograph, screenshot or scan of a digital invoice is not automatically an original electronic record.

This purchase date appears to be more than one year ago. You may still submit the request; any warranty period is measured from the purchase date on the verified original invoice, and the After Sales Team will review it.

Photographs help with preliminary assessment but do not guarantee repair feasibility or warranty acceptance. Please wait for instructions before shipping any instrument. Photographs are not proof of purchase. Up to 5 JPG, PNG or WebP files, 5 MB each.

Only needed before a return shipment is arranged. Do not ship the instrument until Hospitime sends you instructions.

Confirmations

Submission is a request for assessment, not confirmation that repair is possible or covered under warranty. Your details and any photographs are used to assess and administer this request and should be accessible only to authorised staff. See our Privacy Policy.

Important Information

Warranty is assessed separately

Acceptance for repair does not mean an instrument qualifies for warranty coverage. Warranty decisions follow the Limited 1-Year Warranty and review by the Hospitime After Sales Team.

Not covered under warranty?

Hospitime may offer repair or servicing at an additional cost, subject to technical assessment, feasibility and your approval of the quotation.

Final decision

Repair feasibility, repair scope, warranty eligibility and claim disposition are subject to assessment by the Hospitime After Sales Team. No repair work begins before the applicable quotation is communicated and approved.
