For eligible direct purchases by hospitals, clinics and institutions.
Hospitime India provides a limited one-year warranty for eligible surgical instruments purchased directly from Hospitime by hospitals, clinics and institutions. Coverage is subject to the applicable warranty terms, original purchase verification, fair usage and assessment by the Hospitime After Sales Team. The one-year period is calculated from the purchase date established through the verified original invoice, subject to the approved written warranty policy. Coverage and replacement are never automatic.
This limited one-year warranty is available only to hospitals, clinics and institutions that purchase eligible surgical instruments directly from Hospitime India.
Purchases not covered under this limited warranty
Purchases made through dealers, distributors, resellers or other third parties are not covered by this limited warranty. Please contact the original seller for warranty assistance.
Original purchase invoice required
An original purchase invoice is required for warranty verification. A photocopy, scan, screenshot or photograph of a paper invoice is not accepted as proof of purchase.
If your invoice was issued electronically (for example, a genuine original PDF generated by the supplier’s invoicing system, or an official e-invoice), tell us so in the claim form. Its authenticity will be verified before it is accepted, and the After Sales Team may ask for the original electronic file or verify the invoice through an appropriate source. A photograph, screenshot or scan of a digital invoice is not automatically an original electronic record.
Original-document verification helps Hospitime validate the purchase record and reduce the risk of altered or manipulated copies. Product photographs may be submitted for preliminary assessment, but photographs are not proof of purchase and do not establish warranty eligibility.
The After Sales Team will give you instructions for invoice verification and for any instrument-return process. Please do not send or hand over your original invoice until you are told how.
What may be covered
This limited one-year warranty applies to eligible manufacturing defects, subject to the applicable warranty terms, original purchase verification, fair usage and assessment by the Hospitime After Sales Team.
The After Sales Team assesses whether the reported issue is a manufacturing defect or results from use, handling, accident, alteration, wear, maintenance or another excluded circumstance. No specific fault is accepted before inspection.
When coverage does not apply
The following are excluded from warranty coverage under the fair usage policy:
Misuse or inappropriate application
Use outside the instrument’s intended purpose
Use beyond the published or recommended specifications
Overloading
Dropping, impact or other physical mishandling
Bending or cracking, including bent, cracked or impact-damaged tips
Examples of use outside fair usage
These examples show why damage is excluded from warranty coverage. Each claim is still assessed individually.
Tissue scissors
Tissue scissors are designed for cutting tissue. Using them to cut bandages or other non-recommended materials is outside their intended application.
Damage from this use is excluded from warranty coverage under the fair usage policy.
TC wire cutter
A tungsten-carbide (TC) wire cutter specified for wire up to 2 mm is designed for that limit. Using it to cut 2.5 mm wire exceeds its stated specification.
Damage from this use is excluded from warranty coverage under the fair usage policy.
Bent or cracked tips, and fall damage
An instrument tip that has been bent, cracked or damaged by a fall, impact or other physical mishandling is not covered.
Such damage is excluded from warranty coverage under the fair usage policy.

Fair Usage Policy
The limited warranty applies only when the instrument has been used for its intended purpose, within its specified operating limits and with appropriate handling, care, cleaning, storage and maintenance.
Damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, inappropriate application, overloading, alteration, negligence or use outside recommended specifications is excluded from warranty coverage under the fair usage policy. Not every reported issue will qualify as a manufacturing defect, and the After Sales Team assesses the facts of each claim.
Repair or servicing outside warranty
If an instrument is not covered under warranty, Hospitime may be able to offer repair or servicing at an additional cost, subject to technical assessment, feasibility and customer approval of the applicable charges. Repairs are not started without your approval of the proposed charges.
Every warranty claim is reviewed individually. Submission of a claim does not guarantee warranty acceptance, repair, replacement or reimbursement. The final decision on warranty eligibility and claim disposition rests solely with the Hospitime After Sales Team, after review of the original purchase proof, the reported defect, the instrument’s condition, applicable specifications and the relevant warranty terms.
